The objective of the course is to provide a tool and experience to reveal the root cause of a problem and eliminate it. Engineers and managers involved in search for the root causes of defects or failures and for their elimination would benefit from this 5-day course.
TOP-TRIZ methodology helps to identify step-by-step what actually happened, why it happened and then determine improvements or changes needed to eliminate the problem much faster than conventional methods including Five Whys, Fishbone Diagram and Brainstorming and other random creativity methods.
Many root causes that remained unknown and, therefore, not eliminated for months and even years despite the hard efforts using conventional methods were revealed by a matter of hours or few days using TOP-TRIZ. For example, a company had been working for years on reveling and eliminating the cause of an electric arc inside an electrical connector. It took just two hours for a team using TOP-TRIZ to reveal the actual set of events leading to the development of the arc and suggest several ways to eliminate the problem completely. The company was granted a US Patent to some of the solutions.
The power of the methodology to reveal the causes of the problems faster is based on pretending that what happened is a desired result and inventing how to achieve it using TOP-TRIZ. Participants also learn how to use TOP-TRIZ software for root cause analysis and problem elimination and will get three-month free license. TOP-TRIZ methodology will help to develop better solutions at a lower cost and in less time.

"I have never appreciated another professional development engineering course as much as the three courses I took from Zinovy. The courses are immensely practical. I have applied the methods I was taught in all aspects of my engineering profession and even in my personal life. To say that the training changed the way I think about problems is an understatement. The TRIZ methodology taught by Zinovy provides structure to problem solving that would otherwise be dealt with using inefficient, random brainstorming. His courses are ideal for those who appreciate systematic methods of approaching problems. Problem solving becomes more effective and efficient as the method guides you through all possible solutions to the problem you are dealing with.
What was particularly valuable about Zinovy's training, as opposed to training from other individuals, is that he has developed and teaches the Tool-Object-Product model. This TOP model is much more logical and complete than the substance-field model more commonly taught. The materials provided in the courses are now an integral and valuable part of my engineering library."

"The Basic TRIZ training course provided by Zinovy, uses his algorithmic flow and user friendly methods to guide the student through problem formulation, classification, and solution using the appropriate TRIZ tools to determine the best solution concepts. The course material is very well organized with examples detailing the use of each tool or principle. I found the course comprehensive and challenging. The Advance and Practitioner courses taught me greater understanding and developed my ability to apply TRIZ to real life problems. Since the Practitioner course I've applied TRIZ to solve problems, lead TRIZ workshops, and made presentations on the theory and benefits of TRIZ. In that time, Zinovy has continued to be an excellent mentor for me. I highly recommend his courses."

"Spirit AeroSystems has a number of employees that have taken Zinovy Royzen's courses entitled "Designing and Manufacturing Better Products Faster Using TRIZ" and "Advanced Practice TRIZ". Only through this training, a complex engine nacelle service issue was resolved very eloquently without expensive hardware changes. Being able to reach an eloquent resolution is a testament to the value of Zinovy's TRIZ methodology and training expertise. TRIZ is also an integral part of Spirit's Six Sigma projects. It provides the focus and understanding of the issue at hand to minimize team confusion and course deviations."

"I attended Zinovy Royzen's Advance Practice Triz Course in 2007 after having been a Triz practitioner and instructor at Kodak for about 10 years. As I expected, Mr. Royzen provided us with problems and guidance that allowed us to sharpen our skills, especially in the use of Ariz, the most powerful of all the Triz heuristics. I learned and applied many practical problem solving techniques that I will never forget thanks to Mr. Royzen's practice problems. Since returning to my job, I find that I utilize Triz and Ariz with much greater confidence, allowing me and my team to solve difficult problems in advanced product development. I highly recommend that anyone experienced with Triz who wants to take their Triz expertise to the next level, attend My Royzen's, excellent Advanced Practice Course."
